A brief introduction

I am a secondary school mathematics teacher with over six years of experience, working with students across a wide range of abilities. I have supported highly able students in achieving top GCSE grades (8s and 9s), while also helping others build confidence and strengthen their understanding of key mathematical concepts.

My teaching is student-focused and adaptable, tailored to different learning styles to ensure every learner can make progress. I place great importance on building positive relationships, creating a supportive environment where students feel confident and motivated to succeed.

If you would like to discuss how I can support your child's learning, please feel free to get in touch.

Tutoring Experience

I have over five years of teaching experience at an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Harrow, London, working with students across a wide range of abilities. I have taught high-achieving students who have gone on to secure top GCSE grades (8s and 9s), as well as supported students working at grades 4–5 to improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance in Mathematics.

Alongside my classroom teaching, I have extensive tutoring experience from Key Stage 3 through to Bachelor's level, adapting my approach to suit individual learning needs. I am committed to creating a supportive and motivating learning environment that helps students reach their full potential.

In addition, I have successfully guided my own children into top grammar and independent schools, reflecting my strong understanding of competitive entrance exams and high academic expectations.

Teaching Method

My tutoring begins with a thorough assessment of each student's current mathematical understanding to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for development. From this, I design a personalised curriculum plan tailored to each student's needs, learning style, and GCSE requirements.

Lessons focus on developing strong mathematical foundations alongside regular exam-style question practice. A key part of my approach also includes working through mark schemes in detail, helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to structure their answers to maximise marks in GCSE Mathematics.

Students are consistently challenged to reach their full potential, building both confidence and exam technique. All lessons are taught online and can be delivered in a one-to-one or small group setting, providing flexible and effective support.
