A brief introduction

An experienced higher education professional, instructor, and consultant with over a decade of experience working across teaching, training, and institutional change contexts. Brings Master's-level training in Social Anthropology and an interdisciplinary, systems-oriented approach to education, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and organisational transformation. Has held senior leadership roles within higher education, including Director of the Office of Accessibility and Inclusion, leading policy development, governance processes, and evidence-informed initiatives to advance accessibility, gender equity, and inclusive institutional cultures.
As an instructor and trainer, has designed and delivered university-level courses in education, sociology, and international development, alongside facilitation of professional development workshops on inclusive learning, gender equity, and accessibility for academic and administrative staff. Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, learner-centred pedagogy, and the integration of digital tools, AI, and ICT to enhance engagement and support diverse learning needs.
As a consultant, has supported education-focused organisations and startups through research, service design, and strategic positioning, with a strong focus on widening participation, equitable access to higher education, and evidence-based decision-making. Recognised for strong analytical and communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate research and qualitative insight into practical strategies that drive institutional change, improve educational practice, and strengthen inclusive learning communities.

Consulting Experience

I am an experienced higher education professional, instructor, trainer, and consultant with over a decade of experience across teaching, institutional leadership, and advisory roles. I hold Master's-level training in Social Anthropology and bring a systems-oriented, evidence-informed approach to education, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and organisational change. I served as Director of the Office of Accessibility and Inclusion at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), where I have led university-wide policy development, governance processes, and research-informed initiatives advancing accessibility, gender equity, and inclusive institutional culture.

Alongside my leadership role, I am an Adjunct Faculty member at the LUMS School of Education, where I design and teach Education and International Development and Education in the Globalized World. My teaching integrates inclusive pedagogy, instructional design, and AI- and ICT-enabled learning approaches, and I contribute to education quality improvement initiatives through collaborations with university, and government-linked education projects.

I have also held long-standing Visiting Faculty appointments at the Lahore School of Economics, teaching sociology and social development across multiple terms since 2010. In this role, I have led critical thinking and research skills modules, introduced practitioner-led seminar series, and consistently embedded equity, inclusion, and institutional analysis into course design and assessment.

In addition, I have worked as a Consultant with Eye on Ivy, a university placement consultancy, where I conducted market and competitor research, supported business model and service design, and advised on equitable access, admissions pathways, and student guidance across local and international higher education systems.
Across these roles, I am recognised for translating research and qualitative insight into practical strategies, delivering facilitation-based training, and supporting institutional and cultural change within complex higher education environments.

Consulting Method

My consultancy approach is grounded in a deep understanding of higher education systems and the diverse academic, cultural, and personal contexts in which students and institutions operate. I work closely with each client to develop customised, evidence-informed plans rather than one-size-fits-all solutions, ensuring that guidance is responsive to individual goals, strengths, and constraints.

For students and families, this includes personalised mentorship across the full university journey—from academic planning and subject selection to applications, admissions strategies, and transition into university life. I place strong emphasis on clarity, equity, and informed decision-making, helping students navigate complex admissions systems with confidence while remaining attentive to wellbeing and long-term fit.

For institutions and education-focused organisations, I provide research-led advisory support that integrates policy insight, accessibility, and inclusive practice. Drawing on experience in instructional design, digital transformation, and EDI leadership, I support service design and improvement initiatives that strengthen institutional capacity and learner experience.

Across all consultancy work, I prioritise relationship-building, transparency, and reflective practice, combining analytical rigour with empathetic engagement. The aim is to deliver practical, sustainable outcomes—supporting students to thrive and organisations to implement meaningful, inclusive change.
