A brief introduction

I am currently working as a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at Nottingham Trent University, UK. Previously, I served as an Associate Professor and Head of the Electrical Engineering Department in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Central Punjab. I received my PhD in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. During my doctoral studies, I was associated with NECTEC and King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) as a research assistant and lecturer, respectively. I have also worked as a technical content writer at Aimagin.

I completed my Bachelor's degree from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST), Pakistan, in 2007. Before pursuing my Master's degree from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2008, I worked as a Network Engineer at Mobilink, Pakistan. Additionally, I spent two years as a Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Management and Technology, Pakistan.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced educator with over 15 years of teaching experience in Physics, Mathematics, and Computing-related subjects across secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering and have taught core topics including mechanics, electricity, circuits, digital logic, algorithms, and problem-solving. My teaching approach emphasizes clear conceptual understanding, step-by-step exam preparation, and building student confidence, and I have a strong track record of supporting learners from diverse academic backgrounds to achieve strong academic outcomes.

Teaching Method

My teaching method for GCSE and IGCSE focuses on building strong fundamentals through clear explanations, structured practice, and continuous feedback. I break down complex concepts into simple, logical steps and connect theory to everyday examples, helping students understand why things work rather than just memorising formulas. My lessons are exam-focused, with regular use of past-paper questions, mark-scheme guidance, and exam techniques to improve confidence and accuracy. I adapt my approach to each student's level, identify learning gaps early, and use targeted practice to ensure steady and measurable progress.
