A brief introduction
Hi! My name is Mustafa and in the time I'm not teaching, you will most probably find me writing movie reviews or searching for what new perfume I should get.
I am currently a sophomore, enrolled in the Lahore University of Management Sciences and am majoring in Accounting and Finance. I also run a couple of small startups in university where I rent padel rackets and sell really cool posters.
Tutoring Experience
I have over two years of tutoring experience working with students across a wide range of curricula, including KS2 SATs, IGCSEs, O Levels, and Edexcel. I have taught through two UK-based online academies - AfterSchoolTutors and Education Pro - as well as independently, giving me exposure to diverse learning styles and academic needs.
In my private practice, I worked with O-Level students and achieved an average grade improvement of 40% through personalized lesson plans and targeted problem-solving sessions. This experience shaped my approach: I assess each student's individual gaps first, then build structured, goal-oriented sessions around them.
Through my work with AfterSchoolTutors and Education Pro, I have taught 10–15 students simultaneously, consistently delivering measurable grade improvements. I adapt lesson content to each student's exam board and learning pace, ensuring sessions are focused, productive, and confidence-building.
Teaching Method
My lessons are conducted online, either through an iPad with an Apple Pencil or a laptop, and I work exclusively one-to-one - a format I genuinely prefer, as it allows me to give each student my full, undivided attention.
My approach follows a simple but effective structure. I dedicate one class to teaching a topic, and the following class to practicing it - whether through past paper questions or, for younger students, worksheets I put together myself. I find this rhythm works well because it gives students time to absorb a concept before being tested on it.
During the practice sessions, I make a point of letting students work through the questions on their own. I think there's real value in that - it shows me exactly where they are with the material. If someone gets stuck or I notice a pattern of errors in a particular area, I don't just move on. I go back, revisit the concept, and work through it with them again until it clicks.
